About Le Duc Anh
IMG_5854.JPG

Born in Quang Binh province, Vietnam, in 1986.

Anh came to Japan in 2006, as a Japanese Gorvernment (MEXT) scholarship student. Anh has broad interest and experience in new functional materials such as ferromagnetic semiconductors, strong-correlated oxides and topological materials, towards applications in spintronics and topological quantum electronics. The new Fe-based ferromagnetic semiconductors, which he successfully developed in his PhD work, are the firsts in III-V group to show ferromagtism at room temperature. These findings are spurring new developments in the field of semiconductor spintronics, and extending to new applications in topological materials and physics.

He has published several scientific papers, including those in Nature Physics, Nature Communication, Physical Review Letters, Advanced Materials,… He was awarded a Research Fellowship for Young Scientist from Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and several awards including a Nippon Broadcasting System Prize at the 29st Grand Prix for Science and Technology.
